About This Workshop

This class is advanced beginner, intermediate friendly.
🗓 Schedule:
Friday: 1 hour intro session covering fabric choice, zipper
attachment and assembly
Saturday: 1 hour to cut out the pattern attach the webbing
1 hour to attach the zipper
2 hour to finish the bag, attach the hardware and the lining
🏠 Where:
Workshop will be held at Dreamery Fabric, 245 W 8th Ave
Small group size for plenty of one-on-one guidance, so sign up now!
🧵 What to Bring:
-Outer fabric (1 yard) — choose a sturdier fabric like cotton canvas,
denim, waterproof fabrics
-Lining fabric (1 yard) - cotton or linen
-Matching thread
-Webbing (2 yards) - polyester or cotton webbing
🪡 Fabric Tips:
Choose sturdier, durable fabrics such as:
Canvas, Upholstery, Cotton, Cotton blends, Denim
Beginners, skip the silky stuff (polyester can be tricky!). Buy your
fabric, zippers and webbing at Dreamery Fabric at 20% off.
🎁 We Provide:
Sewing machines, hardware, scissors, pins, rulers, tailor’s chalk,
elastic bands, and all the other tools you’ll need.
You’ll go home with a versatile bicycle bag — and the confidence to sew
your next one!
